Bardstown Bourbon Company Arrives In Australia

New to the ICONIC Beverages portfolio: Bardstown Bourbon and Green River Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Here at ICONIC we love high-quality, authentic spirits (more specifically, but not limited to premium Bourbon). That's why we're incredibly excited to announce the launch of The Bardstown Bourbon Company brands, Bardstown Bourbon and Green River Whiskey nationally in Australia.

Hailing from Kentucky, the Bourbon capital of the world, Bardstown Bourbon and Green River Whiskey are two names that have become synonymous with authentic, high-end, heritage-driven Kentucky Whiskey.

A top 10 distillery by volume in the USA, and now in its 3rd International Market, The Bardstown Bourbon Company's launch in Australia via ICONIC Beverages marks an exciting milestone for the company, which speaks to the growing global appreciation for high-quality, authentic Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

"We are thrilled to introduce Bardstown Bourbon Company's exceptional brands into the expanding ICONIC portfolio. Globally, premium and super premium Bourbons are highly sought after by whiskey consumers. However, limited allocations of these products make it to Australia, typically making it difficult for Australian consumers to source and enjoy.

“Green River and Bardstown Bourbon Co’s craft bourbons will delight our US Whiskey consumers here in Australia. We will ensure these premium options are easily accessible across the country'' said Dean Terranova, our Founder and Director.

The Bardstown Bourbon Company

The Bardstown Bourbon Company was Founded in 2014, and was recently crowned winner of 2023’s IWSC Worldwide Whiskey Producer Of The Year. Boasting the world's most technologically advanced distillery, The Bardstown Bourbon Company is independently owned, and produces some of the world's most sought after whiskey.

Celebrating the art of high-end Whiskey production, the Bardstown facility honed its craft distilling for some of the most notable craft rye and bourbon brands in the world. Combining this experience with world-renowned Master Distiller Steve Nally and a hand picked team, Bardstown has quickly become known for spirits that reflect the rich tradition of Kentucky bourbon-making, blended with modern flair.

The Green River Distilling Company

A legacy revived, Green River is a brand steeped in history, tradition and authenticity. Originally founded in 1885 by Col. John W. McCulloch, a man focused on quality and considered a visionary in Sales and Marketing, Green River Whiskey was once marketed as “The whisky without a headache” but following prohibition in America, marketing so called “health benefits” was banned by the federal government. The slogan was then changed to “The Whisky without regrets”. The Green River Distilling Co. is the 10th oldest distillery licensed in Kentucky, holding claim to DSP-KY-10.

Once defunct, then resurrected in 2014 by the Bardstown Bourbon Company, and led by 8th generation master distiller Jacob Call, Green River is distilled and bottled on the same hallowed grounds as it was well over a century ago. With multi-award winning products, and now the 4th largest independent Bourbon distillery in the US, Green River is an authentic, fascinating brand, beautifully presented in its one-of-a-kind packaging.

“Australia is a vital market to penetrate in our path to becoming a global brand,” said Herb Heneman, Chief Commercial Officer for Bardstown Bourbon Company.

“We’ve been in discussions with the ICONIC team for the past year planning this launch, and could not be more excited to introduce Bardstown Bourbon and Green River to the Australian drinkers. While ready-to-drink whiskey drinks have historically dominated this market, Australian consumers are really starting to appreciate the quality and authenticity of bourbons like ours.”
